Dr. Humayun Sulaiman was a distinguished paediatrician dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate and evidence-based healthcare to infants, children and adolescents.
He completed his MBBS from Annamalai University in 2002 and subsequently obtained his MD in Paediatrics from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai, in 2007.
In 2007, Dr. Humayun Sulaiman and Dr. Asma Humayun jointly established Dr. Humayun Clinic, which grew into a trusted centre for paediatric, obstetric and gynaecological care. Their experience in caring for children, women and families inspired a larger vision, to create a modern healthcare institution capable of providing coordinated, high-quality care across multiple medical and surgical specialties.
With this vision, Dr. Humayun Speciality Hospital was founded in 2021. Dr. Humayun successfully led its planning, development and commissioning, guiding the project from its initial concept to the establishment of a fully equipped multispecialty healthcare facility.
The hospital commenced clinical operations in October 2025, marking an important milestone in his mission to make accessible, dependable and internationally benchmarked healthcare available to the people of Chennai and beyond.

View profileDr. Asma Humayun is a highly qualified and accomplished obstetrician and gynaecologist with more than a decade of clinical experience. Based in Chennai, she has established herself as a trusted specialist in women's health, maternity care, infertility management and assisted reproductive medicine.
She provides comprehensive maternity care encompassing antenatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, normal delivery and Caesarean delivery. Her clinical expertise also includes the diagnosis and treatment of menstrual and hormonal conditions such as PCOS, PCOD and irregular menstrual cycles, as well as the management of uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and other gynaecological conditions.
Dr. Asma has extensive experience in infertility evaluation and treatment, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and other assisted reproductive techniques. Her approach combines clinical precision with personalised and compassionate care, supporting couples throughout every stage of their fertility journey.
She has further strengthened her expertise through a Diploma in Reproductive Medicine from Germany, a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (F.MAS) and advanced training in assisted reproductive techniques. She has also earned Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), United Kingdom.
Dr. Asma is registered with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council and remains committed to continued professional development and evidence-based practice. Her principal areas of interest include obstetrics, gynaecology, infertility, assisted reproductive techniques, minimally invasive surgery and antenatal care.
As Managing Director, she plays a central role in shaping the hospital's clinical direction, patient-care philosophy and commitment to quality. Together with Dr. Humayun Sulaiman, she has been instrumental in transforming a shared vision into a modern multispecialty institution dedicated to caring for women, children and families.

Informed consent

Medication reconciliation
Your medication list is checked at admission, at every transfer and again at discharge.
Open incident reporting
Staff are expected to report near misses. Reviews look for the system fault, not for someone to blame.

Each of these is granted by an outside body and renewed on its own cycle. Certificates are available at reception on request.
