Comprehensive care for brain, spine, nerve, and neurological disorders with expert diagnosis and treatment.
Your health. Our priority.
In neurology the single decision that changes the most lives is how fast a stroke is recognised.
- Stroke treated as time-critical, with imaging immediately rather than after assessment
- EEG and nerve conduction studies on site, so epilepsy and neuropathy are confirmed rather than presumed
- Headaches examined properly, which reassures most people and finds the few that matter
- Long-term conditions like epilepsy and Parkinson's followed by the same neurologist over years

Questions, answered.
Common questions about neurology care at Humayun Hospital.
What are the signs of a stroke?
Sudden weakness on one side, drooping of the face, slurred speech, or loss of vision. Call 108 immediately. Treatment that can reverse a stroke works only within a few hours of the first symptom.
Do I need an MRI for headaches?
Usually not. Most headaches are migraine or tension type and are diagnosed on history and examination. Scanning is arranged for headaches that are new, changing, worst-ever, or come with other neurological symptoms.
Can epilepsy be controlled?
In most people, yes. The majority become seizure-free on medication. It usually requires finding the right drug and dose, and taking it consistently.
Is tingling in my feet serious?
It is worth investigating. In this population the commonest cause is diabetes, often undiagnosed. Vitamin deficiency and nerve compression are also common, and all three are treatable.
