Ear, nose and throat care including sinus, hearing and voice disorders.
Your health. Our priority.
Most ENT problems are diagnosed by looking properly. The endoscope is what turns a guess into an answer.
- Endoscopic examination in the clinic, so the cause of a blocked nose or hoarse voice is seen and not inferred
- Audiometry on site, so hearing loss is measured at the first visit
- Day-care surgery for tonsils, sinuses and grommets, with most patients home the same day
- Children assessed by surgeons used to examining children

Questions, answered.
Common questions about ent care at Humayun Hospital.
Do my child's tonsils need removing?
Only if infections are frequent and disruptive, or if the tonsils are large enough to obstruct breathing during sleep. One or two sore throats a year is not a reason.
Will sinus surgery cure my allergy?
No. Surgery opens blocked sinuses and helps drainage. The underlying allergy still needs treating, usually with a nasal spray, and that continues afterwards.
Is ringing in my ears serious?
Usually not, but it should be assessed with a hearing test. Tinnitus in one ear only, or with hearing loss or dizziness, needs looking into more carefully.
Why do I feel the room spinning?
Most true spinning vertigo comes from the inner ear and is treatable, sometimes with a simple positioning manoeuvre done in the clinic. It needs an examination to identify which type it is.
