How to prepare
A few things that make the visit quicker and the results more reliable.
- Fast for 10 to 12 hours.
- Book between day 2 and day 5 of your cycle where possible.
- 17 alpha hydroxyprogesterone must be an early morning sample, so come first thing.
- Avoid strenuous exercise the previous day.
- Mention any steroid or hormonal medication.
